DECLARATION OF DOMICILE
A Declaration of Domicile may be declared at the South County Courthouse,
200 West Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach. For more information, call

DRIVER'S LICENSE
A Florida driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of starting
a job, declaring residency or enrolling a child in school. The cost
is $20. Apply at 14570 S. Military Trail, C-3, Delray Beach, 561-681-6333.
Appointments may be made by phone. Applicants must surrender their
out-of-state license and show one other form of identification,
such as birth certificate.
VEHICLE REGISTRATION, LICENSE & EMISSIONS
Register vehicles at the Vehicle Registration Office at 501 South
Congress Avenue, Delray Beach. Proof of insurance, title or registration,
and vehicle identification number are required. License plates must
be secured within 30 days of establishing permanent residency in

All sized boats must be registered. Valid out-of-state registrations
are good for 90 days. Call 561-930-7922.
MARRIAGE LICENSE
To obtain a marriage license, both individuals must present photo
identification such as driver's license or passport. Take these
to the South County Courthouse, 200 West Atlantic Avenue, Room 103,
Delray Beach. For more information, call 561-930-2230.
OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE
Occupational Licenses are required for both city and county. Costs
vary according to occupation. Call the South County Administrative
Complex, 561-355-2272 and City Hall, 561-375-6360, for more information.
TAXES & SOCIAL SECURITY
Florida has no income or inheritance tax. State sales tax is 7%;
food and prescription drugs are exempt from taxation. For information
on Florida's Homestead Exemption and other property tax laws, call
the Property Appraiser's office, South County Administrative Complex,
502 S. Congress Avenue, 561-355-2866. The Social Security office
is located at 310 S.E. First Street, Defray Beach. Hours are 9 a.m.

VOTER REGISTRATION
To register, the applicant must be a United States citizen and
be 18 years of age before election day. Registration is available
up to 30 days prior to an election, and beginning ten days after
an election. Boynton Beach uses a single registration system for
city, county, and national elections. Registration is available
at City Hall or at the Library.
EDUCATION:
SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Contact the Palm Beach County School Board Public Information Office,
561-434-8000, to determine school placement. Students enrolling
in Palm Beach County Schools for the first time will need: two documents
showing proof of residence, a certificate of immunization (HRS form
680); proof of a medical exam during the last 12 months; a copy
of a transferring students report card; the student's Social Security
number. Kindergarten and first grade students must verify age by
showing a birth certificate.

Beach County and provides daycare for 3- to 5-year-olds. Boynton
Headstart also provides free immunizations on the first Wednesday
of every month on a walk-in basis, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1p.m. to
